I pads and IT
Reuters reports that President Obama admitted today in a graduation speech at Hampton University that he does not how to use many of today’s most popular electronic devices. The president really freaked out his young audience by saying he doesn’t know how to use an iPod, an iPad, an Xbox or a Playstation.
How can this be? He uses a Blackberry, for Pete’s sake. These are simple devices that anyone can use.
The idea of information and technology being dismissed as “a distraction” is quite surprising coming from President Obama, who used social networks and Twitter to gain the presidency. It’s a real puzzler.
The president then went on to tell students that education could help them overcome information overload, or something like that. We didn’t get it at all.
free apps

The problems began last Monday and services were only fully restored by Thursday.
RIM said the selection of premium apps will be offered as ‘an expression of appreciation for their patience’ during the disruptions. The apps will be available on the BlackBerry App World from Wednesday October 19 until December 31.The move to repair the damage to its reputation comes as a survey last week revealed that one in five BlackBerry users were considering switching to another supplier following the problems.
